If you use Thunderbird and do not like the little box that comes up every time you send a message, you can turn it off by following these steps:
- In Windows choose Tools-Options-Advanced-General tab and on Mac choose Thunderbird-Preferences-Advanced-General tab.
- Agree that you will be careful.
- In the filter type: mailnews.show
- You should see where it found: mailnews.show_send_progress and the Value is true.
- Double-click on the line and it will switch to false
Now send a message and you won’t see the box. You will still see in the status bar that the message is sending.
