Requirements
If your computer does not have a printer, please make sure you create a printer anyway. Some programs do not work without a Default Printer. If you do not have a printer, we recommend installing the HP Laserjet 2P and setting the port to File.
Your monitor should be set to 800x600 resolution or higher.
Reminders
When using any Citrix application, keep in mind that you are connected to a computer running the program. When you disconnect, it takes at lease two minutes to reset your session.
If your printer does not connect to any of our servers, contact support with your printer model information so we can setup your printer drivers.
If your printer connects but you cannot print, try quitting the application and waiting for about 5-minutes. Reconnect and try again.
Anytime you experience problems, you may receive support by clicking on the Support button and explaining your circumstances. Please try to provide as much information as possible so that the problem can be correctly more quickly.
Connection Issues
No Licenses Available
If you connect to the Citrix server and receive a message stating that no licenses are available, wait about 5 minutes and try again. The system monitors usages every 5 minutes and usually changes the next connecting to most available server in what is called a "Citrix Farm" which is a group a servers.
Licenses Will Expire in ? Days
If you use Microsoft Windows and receive a message that your access will expire in a few days or simply cannot connect due to any license issue, download and install FixCitrix. If you already installed FixCitrix just run it from your computer.
Macintosh users must delete the folder Citrix ICA Client located in your home directory Library/Preferences folder.
Reconnecting Repeatedly without Connecting
If your license already expired the system keeps trying to connect. Cancel the connection and download and install FixCitrix v1.0. If you already installed FixCitrix just run it from your computer.
Firewall Blocking Your Connection?
Make sure your firewall does not block this IP address: 216.242.73.103. If your computer seems stuck trying to connect or immediately refuses to connect, you may have a firewall enabled on your computer or network that is blocking access to port 1494 (Citrix ICA Port). If you simply enable full access to 216.242.73.103 you should be able to connect. Keep in mind that this IP may change later. If you want to allow access to any of our Citrix Server IP addresses, enable access to 216.242.73.100 thru 216.242.73.119.
Virus Software
Your virus software may include a firewall or application blocking features. If you experience problems connecting, disable your virus software temporarily and try to connect. If you can only connect when you virus software is disabled, you need to configure the virus software to allow the Citrix software to run. Don't forget to enable your virus software after testing.
Printing Issues
Default Printer
Make sure your Default Printer is set correctly. If problems persists, send a message to support.
Universal Printer
Read this You may notice a new printer listed called Citrix UNIVERSAL Printer. This printer option is extremely fast. It sends the print job to your computer and brings it up in a preview mode where you can print to any printer locally on your computer.
Error Messages
ICA File Not Found
f you receive a message that the ICA file is not found, you must delete the temporary files for Internet Explorer (due to a bug in the browser). To do this go to Tools-Options-Delete Files, then quit and go back in. If you use FireFox you will never have this problem.
Performance
Please make sure you QUIT the application when finished. Do not use the X in the corner of the Citrix window to close the application. This will only disconnect your session and leave the program still running.
Automatic Reconnect
If the Internet ever goes out for a few seconds, the system will automatically keep you connected to your session. Requires latest Citrix Client.
Understanding the Inactivity Timeout
Make sure you understand that the system will disconnect you when there is no keyboard or mouse activity. This is normally not a problem unless you leave the program you are using in the middle of entering data without saving. Make sure you complete any data entry work before leaving the computer for extended periods of time. Thank you.
