Agree that you will be careful.

In the filter type: mailnews.show

Web hosting usually includes hosting images and videos along with the normal website files. When a user connects to your website the web page and all images load from the website through the same connection to the web server. Think of it as one pipe where all the data has to flow through. Images are larger in size so they can clog up the pipe while all the images load for a web page. In addition to using more bandwidth, images and especially videos require more power from the web server.

We optimize the performance of the entire web hosting network by offering external image and video hosting. This simply means that images for your website can be hosted on special high-speed servers instead of inside your web site. This also makes access to images easier because the images can be organized in one central location. It also makes it possible for us to spread images across the network so multiple servers can handle the traffic.

We offer external image and video hosting through the use of our dedicated domains listed below:

ximg.co (recommended)

visrc.com

imgsrc1.com

imgsrc2.com

If you want an account at one of these domains, please contact us to receive instructions.

Note: If you already use visrc.com, imgsrc1.com, or imgsrc2.com you may begin using ximg.co instead by adding your account name to the end of the url like this:

http://account.imgsrc1.com/filename.ext
http://account.ximg.co/filename.ext (4 characters less)

http://visrc.com/account/filename.ext
http://account.ximg.co/filename.ext (2 characters less)

When you receive a message that warns you of exceeding your email quota, this means you are using up all the space allocated for your account. No need to worry, though. You can register here for an email account designed specifically for storing email archives.

How it works

When you receive your special email account it will have a username@mailw.us that you can add to your mail client along with your current email accounts. The instructions are the same as setting up any VNYX mail server account. Once you have setup the new account, just move old messages into the new account. This is like moving files from one folder to another on your hard drive. What you are doing by moving messages to the @mailw.us account is transferring the messages from a limited quota account to an unlimited quota account.

Why do I need an unlimited quota account?

Many mail services limit the size of your email account without giving you a reason. Our reason is simply to optimize performance. We want to store archives on separate equipment that is designed for large volumes of data. We also want to use our high performance servers for the most active data. By giving priority to the current active email, we can handle more traffic in less time which ends up saving you time overall.

Email Backups

All of the mail on our mail servers is backed up multiple times. The active mail is not only backed up throughout the day, it is also syncronized on multiple servers so that if one server goes down, mail delivery continues. The mail archives are backed up to nearby storage devices on a daily basis. It doesn’t make sense to backup old email throughout the day because it doesn’t really change.

The VNYX primary and back-up network servers are co-located with Host.net, in a facility that protects the system against almost any catastrophe. The Boca Raton Host.net “bunker like” complex provides many advantages. Located beside a train right-of-way, their network fiber is within 50 meters of the multiple tier 1 carrier fiber lines that run along the tracks, making outages almost impossible. Host.net also maintains bank, hospital, and many other critical industry servers, so security and quality assurance are maintained at a premium.

Co-locating with a tier 1 host comes at a higher monetary price, but in the event of a natural or other disaster, the VNYX primary computer hardware and customer data are well protected. Network security and reliability are an important priority with VNYX. You can vist the Host.net Website or watch this video to learn all about reasons why we chose Host.net for our network.
